... Each of this drawings contains some clues to the secret of Disney's success, since every one of them was touched by his influence. Each drawing reflects his taste, for the artist was always aware that it was subject to his scrutiny. Literally hundreds of artists figure in this story, but all of them functioned within the governing structure elaborated by Disney's imagination. In later years he may perhaps have exercised less control over some aspects of the operation - his interests became so diversified that this was unavoidable. In the productions in which his reputation rests, however, Walt Disney's involvement was complete.
